Vice President, Senior Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer

Mohan P. Thomas joined EIF in 2011 and is responsible for providing legal counsel and support with respect to portfolio investments and other corporate and regulatory matters. Mr. Thomas also serves as EIF’s Chief Compliance Officer and has primary responsibility for administering EIF’s compliance policies and procedures.  He has over six years of relevant industry experience.

Mr. Thomas previously held the position of Vice President and Counsel at State Street Corporation in Quincy, Massachusetts, where he provided legal expertise with respect to State Street’s international asset servicing operations. Mr. Thomas began his legal career as an associate in the corporate/securities department of Bingham McCutchen LLP in Boston, where he focused on fund formation and fund-raising transactions for private equity clients, along with assisting private and public companies in a range of corporate matters, including venture capital financing, public offerings, mergers and acquisitions, asset and stock purchases, securities law compliance, and corporate governance.  Mr. Thomas holds a BA in Economics and Policy Studies from Syracuse University, an MPA from the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs, and a JD from Georgetown University Law Center.
