ENERGY INVESTORS FUNDS PROMOTES ANDREW E. SCHROEDER TO SENIOR PARTNER AND KEITH DERMAN TO VICE PRESIDENT NEW YORK, NY (January 11, 2007) Energy Investors Funds (“EIF”), an established private equity fund manager that invests in the energy and electric power sector, is pleased to announce the promotions of Andrew E. Schroeder to Senior Partner and Keith Derman to Vice President. “Both Andrew and Keith have made significant contributions to EIF, our investors and the projects we’ve invested in during their time here,” said Terence Darby, a Managing Partner of EIF and head of the firm’s New York office. “We congratulate both of them on their well-deserved promotions and look forward to seeing them grow with the firm as we continue to execute our strategy of investing in geographically diverse electric power assets and providing superior risk-adjusted returns for our investors.” Mr. Schroeder joined EIF’s New York office in 2001 and most recently served as a Partner. Mr. Schroeder is responsible for originating, analyzing, structuring, and closing new fund investments as well as ongoing portfolio company management. Prior to joining Energy Investors Funds, Mr. Schroeder worked for the investment bank Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein, where he served as a Team Leader responsible for origination and relationship management with U.S. power and electric utility clients. His prior work experience includes both electric utility and structured finance work for First Union Bank. Mr. Schroeder earned an M.B.A. in International Finance from American University and a B.S. in Finance from the University of Delaware. Mr. Derman joined EIF’s New York office in 2005 and most recently served as a Senior Associate. He is also responsible for originating, analyzing, structuring, and closing new fund investments as well as ongoing portfolio company management. From 2002 to 2005, Mr. Derman held various roles within Public Service Enterprise Group (“PSEG”), including Manager of Corporate Development in PSEG Power where he worked on acquisition, divestiture and development projects for the company’s 14,000 MW generation fleet. In addition, he served as Senior Enterprise Consultant in PSEG Energy Resources & Trade, where he traded energy and worked on long-term supply contracts and hedges, as well as PSEG Global, where he worked on international strategy. His prior experience also includes working as a Senior Financial Analyst in the Acquisition and Development Group of Sunterra Corporation and a Financial Analyst in Smith Barney’s Mergers and Acquisitions Department, where he worked with financial sponsors and utilities among other clients. Mr. Derman received an A.B. in Political Science from Duke University and an M.B.A. from The Wharton School.
